President Wilson was unwilling to cut off trade with Britain in World War 1 because the profitable trade with the Allies was extremely important to the United States.

Quite a bit. The UK became one of the largest debtors in the world. One of the reasons the Germans were hit so hard with reparations in the Treaty of Versailles was because the Brits and French were determined to make the Germans pay off their respective debts, especially to the United States.
Yes, and the last items didn't come off rationing until 1954 - 9 years after the war ended.
the reason is that Britain went through a massive devastation and needed time to recover that is why rationing was still going on after the war.
To have Great Britain Pay for it
they had to pay for the soldiers to have food place to stay for them to go to war
No the US forgave them the debt.
yes, no, i don't know
Because they wanted the American's to pay off the debt from The French and Indian War, so they "trapped" them.
The UK and the US came to an arrangement called the Lease/loan agreement, where by the US supplied materials for the war effort and the UK promised to pay after the war. The UK has only recently finished paying off the debt.
Off the back of a wagon
I'm not entirely sure but I do know that Britain paid they're debt off around 5 years ago, America gained from the war and Germany only finished paying all it's debt this year but this is because Germany paid nothing while Hitler ran the country.
Turkey's debt was payed off with it's land lost and the conversion of the Ottoman Empire. The remaining Allies blamed the Germans for the war and most of the reparations were cost to them. They paid their debt off with their land and the Allies were satisfied with that.

No, the only country in the world that has paid off a WWII debt is Finland (they made railroad cars and locomotives for the USSR for forty years)
yes, we paid everything back till 1988.
