No, the Afghanistan is officially the longest war in American history. It began October 7, 2001 and has not ended yet. Before that, the Vietnam War was the longest war in American history. It lasted 103 months.

World War I lasted 4 years and about three months (28 July 1914 - 11 November 1918).

Others claim the Korean War is the longest because it never officially ended, we only signed a cease fire with them.

Technically the longest war ever was the 335 years long, there was no casualties in it or anything but it was officially declared March 30, 1651 and officially ended on April 17, 1986.

It was between the isles of Scilly (off the southwest coast of Great Britain) and the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands, now the Netherlands.
