Markiplier. They are both were they are to this day and the rest of the union is in the north from Kansas over. This created a struggle because it was hard to reach them, send messages and supply them with goods, because there were no Morse Code lines, or rail road tracks all the way across the country.

Have fun with the civil war...

How was the Civil War similar from wars that Americans had previously fought?

The Civil War was different because the other wars had happened with other countries and this war happened between the Northern and Southern states in America, the same country. The country started to fall apart, kinda like the economy today. During the war, the southern states separated themselves from the rest of the US and became the Confederate States of America. They considered themselves a separate country, but both the Union and the Confederates were still American.

How much land did the Confederacy cover as opposed to the Union?

Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas. Border states of Missouri, Kentucky, Delaware and Maryland stayed Union, but obviously some local sympathies for the South remained. Basically the rest of the country stuck with the Union, but the West wasn't that important strategically, the war was generally fought from the Mississippi River Eastward to DC IMPROVEMENT In terms of land surface: the USA covered 2,236,006 square kilometres, the CSA covered 2,011,840 " " " " the "Neutral States" covered 312,473 " " " " the Territories covered: (USA) 2,996,676 " " " " (CSA) 181,090 " " " "

What war was fought in the US from 1861 to 1865?

The two sides who fought in the Civil War were the Confederacy, which were the 11 Southern United States that seceded from the Union and the United States which were the rest of the states in the Union.

How did the Siege of Vicksburg affect the South?

Disastrously. They lost their last garrison on the Mississippi, and the valuable use of the great waterway was totally denied to them - with their units to the West of the river cut-off from the rest. It also released Grant's army to join up with the Army of the Cumberland at Chattanooga, as well as giving Grant enough credibility that he would soon become General-in-Chief of all the Union armies.

Why were some communist government established after World War 2?

WWII was the beginning of the cold war where the United States and the USSR fought over being the world super power, and therefore both of them were trying to spread their ideology to the rest of the world. Communist governments were established after WWII because the Soviet Union reinforced them.
