The survivors of the Battle of Pork Chop Hill were soldiers from the United States Army's 7th Infantry Division and the 17th Infantry Regiment, as well as soldiers from the Chinese People's Volunteer Army. The battle took place during the Korean War in April 1953 and was a strategic location that changed hands multiple times during the conflict. The survivors on both sides endured intense fighting, harsh conditions, and heavy casualties during the battle.
The survivors of "Hamburger Hill", would be the men of the 3/187th, 1/506th, 2/506th, and the 2/501st battalions of the 101st Airborne (Airmobile) Divison. With probably the least amount of survivors coming from the 3rd Battalion 187th Infantry Regiment; as they sustained the most casualties.
