It is because the Americans were tired of being pushed around. England was like the mother to the people. But the patriots were no fond of obeying England. England kept on giving taxes to the people to help England Win. So typicaly the whole battle started because America, The 13 colonies, and other states wanted to be free of England. But then that's when Americans made the constitution. It was supposed to give us Freedom. Like freedom of speech Freedom of anything. We don't have to be bossed around by other people. But the revolutionary war started because we wanted freedom.
