The fight is about oil/the us wanted to privatized oil and othergovernment assets but the oil com. Did not follow behind like planed which caused lower prices there for lower profits. The first plan was to weaken the cooperation of opec cartel ruined by Venezuela. Now in Iraq there is a plan formed by the government 'operation enduring freedom' to turn them in to a democratic society like the united states.
You could say the fight in Iraq is about oil but that is not entirely true. The US government (George Bush) used the excuse of going to find weapons of mass destruction in order to invade Iraq. That is not the only reason though. We also invaded Iraq to try create peace in that area and stop terriosism in our country i think.

∙ 12y agoWe entered Iraq originally to find weapons of mass destruction and also to get Saddam out of power. We were successful, but we continued to fight the insurgent rebels in Iraq in order to establish a stable democracy. Now we are leaving slowly but surely.

∙ 13y agoGeorge Bush had believed that the Iraqis were producing weapons of mass destruction. Thus he sent troops into Iraq searching for them. Til this day, November 2, 2010, we have not found them.
