∙ 13y agoIt was to be the first major battle between the NVA and the US, and it was also to test the strategy of using Air Cavalry or simply troops leaping out of choppers onto the Landing Zone. The test was successful and it was a major victory for the US and the Air Cavalry was used the rest of the war.

The Waterloo battlefield is composed (roughly) of two ridges between a valley. At the southeast end of the field is La Belle Alliance, the ridge used by French forces during the battle.
