Most societies would first permanently settle down and then build their homes. Then they would raise animals such as sheep, cows, goats, and pigs. Then the farmers would use these animals mainly for meat, skin, and dairying. The people then also began creating pottery which was easier for them to store food in. Then rice developed in China, and then it spread into other places. Different grains such as wild wheat, beans, and barley were everywhere. Soon the farmers had no need for hunting.
