The Central Pacific Railroad began in Council Buff, Nebraska. It did not begin in Omaha, that is a wrong fact. The railroad ended in Promontory, Utah. The Union Pacific started in Sacramento, California, and also ended in Promontory, Utah. They met at that place. Hope that helped (way to use the f****** internet for your homework btw)
