Carlos Coy, aka South Park Mexican, is a rapper from Houston, TX. He started out doing Christian rap, but felt that he was outcast from the rest of the rap community for it, so he switched and created Dope House Records with his brother and a friend in 1995. Since then, he has produced ten albums. On September 25, 2001, Coy was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a nine year old child, but he posted bail and was released. However, he was indicted on December 10 of that year when a new charge was added over a 1993 incident in which he impregnated a 13-year-old girl. Two more charges were added in March 2002 for the assaults of two 14-year-olds. Coy's trial began May 8, 2002 and ended with his conviction on May 18, 2002. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison, which he is currently serving. He continues to record music while in prison.
