What kind of food did the eastern woodland Indians eat?
The Eastern woodland tribes were the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga
,Cayuga, and Seneca and lived in the wooded area of today's New
York state. They were hunters and farmers. In that area they would
find deer, rabbit, moose, muskrat, raccoon, beaver, turkey,fish,
pheasants, and other animals. The pelts of the raccoon, beaver, and
muskrat they could trade for other goods and food.
