There is no single founder of the Hindu religion. Unlike other world religions, Hinduism began as a culture and became elevated to the status of a religion over time. There is a deep belief in the teacher and student relationship and "Vedas", believed to have been passed down from the Gods to the people thousands of year ago, and carried forward in the teacher/student tradition.
