Well, honey, those five tribes were called "civilized" by the U.S. government because they adopted certain European customs like farming, education, and Christianity. Basically, they were playing the part to try and avoid getting kicked off their land. But let's be real, just because they were doing what the white folks wanted doesn't mean they were any less sophisticated or cultured than they already were.
