No, empiricists believe that knowledge has movement in it, also called flux, because knowledge is made of perceptions and experience. Therefore, different people yield different feelings and they can all be correct, which makes the empirical world the world of "becoming".

Rationalists are the ones who find knowledge in the world of being. To them, knowledge is immutable and static over time.

Sorry I can't write too long, I'm writing my research paper and ran into this page. Hope it helps a little.

I predict that the answer is yes. The neolithic time period was when we became a smater, and more knowlegable generation, and us being the homo sapiens we are today, the last generation before us were the neanderthals, so therefore i think the they would have had some knowledge considering they were so close in relation with us!

Why do you think research and avoiding bias is important to the writing of history?

Research is important to the writing of history beause it's fact and evidence. Bias is a very important thing to avoid in the writing of history because history tends to repeat itself, knowing history is a great way to avoid future mistakes but bias can make learning history difficult because it's not entirely true.

What does this quote mean- Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people?

I'll try to answer it as best I can. First, realize that nature abhors a vacuum, and if one person chooses not to think for them self, then naturally, someone else is going to think for them. The real power and freedom is found when one is not subject to another, but rather, is a steward unto ones self. This is where "Knowledge is Power" comes into play. It doesn't only mean that with knowledge comes opportunities, but with knowledge comes the ability to be truly free instead of being subject to another.
