I don't know much about this, so I researched and found some results that may find what you are look for... hopefully.

1.) Pillows have been found in Ancient Egypt tombs. They were originally used mainly by the wealthy.

2.) Some say that earliest were formed and wrapped around with leaves or straw.

3.) The difficulty of sophisticated dyes and sewing techniques led to the development of pillows as an art form, with highly decorated pillows becoming prized commodities first in China and Persia and later in Medieval Europe.

4.) I heard that in Tudor England, pillows became mostly used and believed that women giving birth should use one.

This is all the pillow information I've researched. Yet, I still don't know exactly when pillows were invented... Sorry.

Pillows were made for the wealthy and used in ancient Egypt. Highly decorated pillows were used in China and Persia and later in Medieval Europe. The Industrial Revolution saw the mass production of pillows. Apart from soft fabrics, pillows have been made of stone covered in cloth
