battle of qadisiya happened in the time of ameer-ul-mu'mineen OMER (2nd khalifah).
Muslims were the group of around 30,000 and the qadisiyas were a group of 1,80,000.
the battle lasted for 3 days.
at 1st day, Muslims hands were down. almost 1000 Muslims were killed on the 1st day.
on the 2nd day it was equal.... almost 1500 Muslims were killed when compared to 10,000 qadisiyan soldiers.
on the third day, Muslims wanted to finish the battle off. so, they headed towards rusthum, the leader-in-charge of that war.. and one of the muslimm sahab killed him. as soon as rustum got killed, other qadisiyans started to ran backwards. after hearing this news. the total loss for Muslims were around 6000 when compared to 30,000 loss for opponents.
as soon as the qadisiyan KING heared this matter, he left the palace and ran away. when the conquered Muslims entered the palace, one of the Muslim sahabi recited these suras while walking into the king's palace seeing his ornaments and things.
