It explains that khilafat movement was being prominent because the britian broke their promise of not breaking the turkish empire and they also said that they would respect the rights of khalifa but unfortunately this did not happened... they had split up Germany (treaty of versallies) and then the british prime minister announced that

turkey would receive the same treatment as did germany and Austria .. so this outraged the muslims in indis and they organised a opposition to the british plan..and this shows that they were extremely angry were trying hard to safe their ruler as well as their religion

During the ww1 british wanted its support from the Indians to fight against Germany & Turkey. The muslims saw the khalifa of the ottaman empire as a religious figure head and so dis not enlist for the war. British seeing this promised to respect the khalifa after the war was over. This caused many Indians to support the British in the war.

The british divided germany and announced the treaty of serves. This caused great resentment amongst the Muslims & so KHilafat movement was founded to save the Caliph.

It is also a fact that Khilafat movement was also formed because of deep seated Muslim distrust of British. Afghanistan & persia were ruled by Russia & British according to their will. The MUSlims in the subcontinent feared that the bristish would take over Turkey & thus would rule other Muslim states such as Makkah & Madinah. So this movement was formed as a result.

Write a brief note on khilafat movement?

The defeat of Turkey in the First World War and the division of its territories under the Treaty of Sevres (10 August 1920) among European powers caused apprehensions in India over the Khalifa's custodianship of the Holy places of Islam. Accordingly, the Khilafat Movement was launched in September 1919 as an orthodox communal movement to protect the Turkish Khalifa and save his empire from dismemberment by Great Britain and other European powers. The Ali brothers, Muhammad Ali and Shawkat Ali, Maulana abul kalam azad, Dr MA Ansari, and Hasrat Mohani initiated the Movement. Khilafat Conferences were organised in several cities in northern India. A Central Khilafat Committee, with provisions for provincial branches, was constituted at Bombay with Seth Chotani, a wealthy merchant, as its President, and Shawkat Ali as its Secretary. In 1920 the Ali Brothers produced the Khilafat Manifesto. The Central Khilafat Committee started a Fund to help the Nationalist Movement in Turkey and to organise the Khilafat Movement at home.

Problems leading to the french revolution?

The big problem that led to the French Revolution was the issue with horrible monarchs. The leaders would spend money carelessly on themselves, not their nation or people, and did not care about their citizens. Most of the French were peasants, had no land, poor, and were starving. It was also caused by the horrible hierarchy the country had: the Ancien Régime, which had three estates. The first estate, the smallest and on top, was formed of the clergy. The second estate, the second smallest and in the middle, was formed of the nobility. The third, the by far largest (comprising of over 97% of the French population) and on the bottom, was formed of anyone who was not a part of the first two (this includes lawyers, peasants, doctors, merchants, etc.). The way the government was set up only allowed one vote from each estate, so you can see how unfair it was. About 1% of the population for one vote, about 2% for another vote, and about 97% for the last vote, obviously not fair representation. This then led to the Tennis Court Oath, which then further land to the revolution.
