They can be elected for two consecutive terms, but cannot run for a third term in a row. It is possible (but never seen so far) to be elected again after another president had his term in office.

I assume you are referring to US presidents. There have been 43 men who served as president of the USA so far; Barack Obama is the 44th. (One president-- Grover Cleveland, was elected twice, but in non-consecutive terms. He was #22 and #24.)

There have been 65 Inaugurations:

20 men were inaugurated more than once:

George Washington

Thomas Jefferson

James Madison

James Monroe

Andrew Jackson

Abraham Lincoln

Ulysses S. Grant

Grover Cleveland (the only one non-consecutively)

William McKinley

Theodore Roosevelt

Woodrow Wilson

Calvin Coolidge

Franklin D. Roosevelt (4 times)

Harry S. Truman

Dwight D. Eisenhower

Lyndon B. Johnson

Richard M. Nixon

Ronald Reagan

William J. Clinton

George W. Bush

9 Vice Presidents took office when their President could not finish his term:

John Tyler (William H. Harrison)

Millard Filmore (Zachary Taylor)

Andrew Johnson (Abraham Lincoln)

Chester A. Arthur (James Garfield)

Theodore Roosevelt (William McKinley)

Calvin Coolidge (Warren G. Harding)

Harry S. Truman (Franklin D. Roosevelt)

Lyndon B. Johnson (John F. Kennedy)

Gerald R. Ford (Richard M. Nixon - only President to leave because he resigned, rather than because he died)

So, 37 men have been elected as President:

George Washington (twice)

John Adams

Thomas Jefferson (twice)

James Madison (twice)

James Monroe (twice)

John Q. Adams

Andrew Jackson (twice)

Martin Van Buren

William H. Harrison

James Polk

Zachary Taylor

Franklin Pierce

James Buchanan

Abraham Lincoln (twice)

Ulysses S. Grant (twice)

Rutherford B. Hayes

James Garfield

Grover Cleveland (twice - not consecutively)

Benjamin Harrison

William McKinley

Theodore Roosevelt

William H. Taft

Woodrow Wilson (twice)

Calvin Coolidge

Herbert Hoover

Franklin D. Roosevelt (four times)

Harry S. Truman (twice)

Dwight D. Eisenhower (twice)

John F. Kennedy

Lyndon B. Johnson

Richard M. Nixon

Jimmy Carter

Ronald Reagan (twice)

George H.W. Bush

William J. Clinton (twice)

George W. Bush (twice)

Barack Obama

Only 1 was not elected as either President or Vice-President

Gerald R. Ford

And, only 5 others were never actually elected as President

John Tyler

Millard Filmore

Andrew Johnson

Chester A. Arthur

Warren G. Harding

...making exactly 43 Americans who have served as President of the United States. Barack Obama is thus considered the 44th President.
