No. In general the danish draughtsman and poster artist Sven Brasch cannot be called an art Art Nouveau artist in my opinion. Though Brasch made his debut (according to author Peter Holst Eriksen) already in 1906, the age of Jugendt/Art Art Nouveau, or Skønvirke as the movement was coined in Denmark, where Brasch was born and most of his life worked, he can more be attributed to the Art Deco style/movement.
His danish 1922 poster for the US produced 1917 silent feature film 'Cleopatra', starring Theda Bara, is said to be one of the finest danish examples of Art Deco. Some of his early drawings to newspapers, magazines etc. does have a hint of art nouveau-ish feeling to them though, especially when drawing women. But I find Brasch not easily put into a style-container, as he adopted/used several "styles". Hope this helped a bit. Jakob Persson

art is the catalyst and also the method of recording for much of history. without art, we would not be able to understand and experience the social ramifications of political decisions made in past time periods. art serves as a window to the way people felt during different times. art also affected the course of action in their countries of origin. art has inspired people to act. take "liberty leading the people", for example. an amazing piece of artwork by french artist eugene delecroix that effected the way french people thought about their country and their duty, and now serves as a freeze- frame for historians.
Irish artist, Francis Bacon was figurative painter best known for his bold graphics. He had no formal artistic training. He decided to try art after being inspired by Nicholas Poisson's "Massacre of the Innocents", and an exhibition of Picasso's works. "Crucifixion" was Bacon's first piece of art that drew public attention.
No, art is simply, how can I put it. Art.
Art and music,
The Renaissance effectively ended the period of Gothic art. Gothic art was totally religious in nature, while the Renaissance promoted the rise of secular art.
