It was the greatest storm of 1287. This devastating damage literally swept away and sunk many cities beneath the sea, and several Dutch towns were also affected. Some people found themselves in a different location, and some found out that their ports had shifted inland. But luckily, the huge water outflow had directed some of the rivers to its new locations.
