Everyone that opposed the cause of the revolution, was executed. Everyone that still wanted their monarchs to reign the country, was executed. Everyone that refused to wear the tricolor sashes and rosettes were executed.

In short: everyone who dared to think differently than the revolutionists and the assemblee nationale was executed. There was only room for one religion: the revolutionary one.
