Charles's wife Queen Catherine was unable to produce an heir; her four ended in miscarriages and stillbirths.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nell Gywn (One of Charles's mistresses) gave birth to her first son, Charles , on 8 May 1670. This was the King's seventh son - by five separate mistresses.

But altogether, Charles had a dozen children with about 7 different mistresses!

Glad to help :)
