A lot of people don't believe that. What happened in Africa and in other parts of the world that colonisers went to, is that as cultures were taken over and destroyed, records of their history went too. Another factor is that some of that history would not have been recorded very well, As a result there are parts of the world where little is known of early history. Historians and people like archaeologists have done what they can to piece together all of the information they could find to try to restore knowledge of some of that history.

It is a time in history that shows what afeudal society does to 90% of the people. When the government is run by the Church people loose rights and the ability to think freely. The "dark ages" is called that for a reason because people couldn't read or write. There were no schools or training for people. They were told what to think and how to think it and if they didn't they were punished. A educated population can NOT become slaves for king or Church because they know how to think, organize, and fight back with words. If we don't look at history and learn from it we are doomed to repeat it.

Louis Leakey became interested in studying human ancestors in Africa because he believed that Africa held the key to understanding the origins and evolution of humanity. He was influenced by discoveries of early hominid fossils in Africa, such as those found by Raymond Dart in the early 20th century. Leakey saw Africa as a potential treasure trove for ancient human remains due to its unique combination of geological factors and rich biodiversity.
