Richard III. Crookback (1452-1485) was the brother of Edward IV. and Duke of Gloucester since 1461. After the mysterious death of Edward he seized the crown in 1483 and arrested both nephews and rightful heirs to the throne Edward V. and Richard of York in the London Tower where they were killed in 1483 by rectal insertion of a glowing poke. Their bodily remains were found in the 20th century during Tower renovation works under a flight of stairs.

Richard III. fell in the Battle of Bosworth against Henry Tudor Earl of Richmond.

If you kill your nephews you likely become unpopular.
