The Acadians were expelled for multiple reasons. First of all, when the land came under British control they refused to sign the Utrech Treaty, whic would make it so that if there was a war between the british and french colonies the Acians would side with the british and not the french. The Acadians wished to stay neutral in such a situation so they didn't sign it.

Second of all a British admiral (who the name escapes me at the moment) thought it was unfair that the Acadians got the better land and not the English.

There is other small reasons but these are some of the main reasons.

Because they had to leave behind their entire lives, all their possesions, jobs, homes, everything. they werent allowed to take their belongings with them, sell them or their land, they just had to leave it. they basically had to start a brand new life with absolutely nothing. not easy!! also because families and friends were all being separated because of this deportation, they couldn't choose their destinations, who was with them on the boat, anything.

Acadians were exiles not accepted by the British colonists because the Acadians are descendants of France, and at the time, the British and the French were in war with each other. The Acadians truly wanted to stay neutral, not having to fight against the British nor the French but the British didn't trust them and ended up deporting them.

The Acadians were expelled from their homeland because they would not create an allegiance with the British when they had been asked to. So, when they refused, the British kicked them out and separated them. Arnold Schwarznegger!!!
