The Acadians were expelled for multiple reasons. First of all, when the land came under British control they refused to sign the Utrech Treaty, whic would make it so that if there was a war between the british and french colonies the Acians would side with the british and not the french. The Acadians wished to stay neutral in such a situation so they didn't sign it.
Second of all a British admiral (who the name escapes me at the moment) thought it was unfair that the Acadians got the better land and not the English.
