The wife of President Lyndon Baines Johnson, her given name was Claudia Alta Taylor. (1912-2007)

She was nicknamed "Lady Bird," because her nursemaid said that she looked like a Lady Bird (a lady bug) when she was little.

I am not sure but i just wanted to say have you ever realized when using the names lady bird Johnson and Lydon b. Johnson and write the initials you get L.B.J. and L.B.J. (which is why they named their daughters Luci Baines and Lynda Bird).

because she looked like a lady bird. No, seriouly....

Answer: Allegedly, when she was little her nurse commented that she was "as pretty as a lady bird" and the nickname stuck. One of her daughters has "Bird" as a middle name. Her real first name was Claudia.
