Except perhaps for the accidental presidents who were elected vice-president with no expectation of being president, all the presidents are brave. One must be brave to risk ones job and health to campaign with no guarantee of winning. It takes even more courage to take office and take on the handling of the many problems that face the nation, let alone living in a goldfish bowl and being exposed to constant criticism, not to mention the likelihood of being shot at. Any ranking of presidents by bravery would be almost entirely arbitrary and it would even be more absurd to pick out a second or third bravest.
