Some of the Germans were helping the British. Not all Germans helped the British, most Germansdid not. The British forced the German into helping them. The Americans only had random men for an army. America set up its first ever Army during the Revoloutionary War, it was led and trained by British troops who had turned on there own country. Then American teamed up with French,Spanish and Dutch, with the French being crucial and also doing most of the work.

It was more of a draw than a win.

The British were fighting 3 other major wars at the same time as the Revolutionary War against Napolean and the French Empire,Mongol Empire and the Japanese Empire, these 3 other wars had everything to lose and everything to gain for the British Empire,American had nothing to gain as it was to young of a country, with Britain protest for the British to sign the peace treaty and give the Americans there independance back the British surrenderd and signed the treaty, then sailed off to fight there 3 other wars, wich they won.

France and Spain gave America money and supplies to help in their fight for independence from Great Britain. Also, various soldiers from Europe went to America to help them win the war.

The French, Spanish, and Germans helped the Patriots (Americans).

The Hessians (German mercenaries) were on the British side, though.
