Remus, who challenged his brotherâ??s supremacy by jumping over a wall Romulus had constructed to define his territory was then murdered by Romulus. Romulus disappeared during a storm and was believed to have met with foul play as a result of the Senate tiring of his leadership and wanting to assume the power themselves.
