The Scots won the Battle of Banockburn because King Robert the Bruce had experienced being a military commander and Edward the II didn't have a clue how to rule a country or even lead a battle. Robert the Bruce had successful strategies and tactics , the English army didn't know what to expect and just hoped for the best

Yes: The English committed unsupported cavalry (Knights in Armour) & the Scots dealt with them sumarily.

Robert the Bruce leader of the Scottish defeated Edward II, who escaped but was then murdered by his wife Isabella of France, and her new lover Earl of Mortimer.

How did they kill him? ... Well ... They didn't want anyone to know they had murdered him, so they couldn't strangle him to death, that would leave bruises. They couldn't stab him, that would live a mark obviously.

The only thing they could do was ............

Stick a hot metal Poker up his bum and burn his insides out. And that's exactlty what they did.

And, yes, he would've screamed but no-one would hear him because he was locked deep, down, in the dungeons.

What a horrible thing to do, but the thing was, even if someone did find out who and how murdered him ... Then that person probably wouldn't even have cared.

Because most people hated Edward II, he was a very horrible and bad king!!!

English 10,000 strong army commanded by Edward II, between 500 and 2000 men at arms and knights, 500 Welshmen (archers), the rest would of consisted of levied infantry.

Scottish 5,000 to 6,500 strong army, commanded by King Robert I. 1,000 to 1,500 were men at arms and knight thou unlike the English only 500 of these fought on horse back the rest fought in the front rank of the shiltrons. The rest were levied infantry who had been trained to march in shiltron formation and fight with pikes.

The Scots also has 500-1000 "small folk" but as chroniclers are unclear as to what these are some historians suggest that they are highlanders or infantry that did not arrive to the muster in Tor Wood early enough to be trained in marching while in shiltron and others say that they were the armies ancillaries ie cooks.
