It is wrong to think that the ancient Egyptian writing system had a "symbol" for every single concept - only a very few of its signs work like that. In most cases words had to be spelled out using phonemes (sound signs).

The ancient Egyptian word for "knowledge" is written with signs that spell r+kh+t, rxt. Vowels were not written so we only have the consonant skeleton of each word and we can never know how they were said.

Rxt is spelled out in several different ways. One uses the mouth sign (r) over a placenta sign (kh) followed by the semicircular loaf (t) over the rolled papyrus determinative for abstract words.
