I also just purchased a seascape signed by Maccarin: "Breakers on the Rocks", but I can't find out anything about Maccarin or his work. The only clue I have when I Google this particular work is that is was sold at an auction in the U.K. in 1994 ( http://www.artfact.com/auction-lot/maccarin-breakers-on-the-rocks-oil-on-canvas-s-1-c-fgd88098fi) , but nothing else registers on this artist. I do know that I love his work. Have you had any luck tracking more information down? Jennifer
I have been trying to find out who the artist is also, i have my parents still life (fruit with a pitcher) signed DUV...we are from New York, he or she might just be a local artist from the sixties...
It's probably Caroline Carson. Go to www.google.com Type: artist C Carson It will give you lots of results. I think it may be the Korean painter Charles Carson - he always signed his paintings with C. Carson.
I have a B Chipton painting also. I was trying to find the artist also. I would include a picture of the painting but wiki doesn't appear to be able to accept pictures.
