I wonder if it is the work of the famous photographer Brassai (Gyula Halasz). He started as a painter. He did Photography for extra money and did not want his photography associated with his real name under which he was trying to become established as a painter, hence, the name Brassai. He lived on this very street in Paris. He struggled financially. I wonder if these paintings were painted for tourists for quick cash and he did not want these paintings associated with his real name, hence the name Brasso. He was born in the town of Brasso. Any thoughts!
You're reading a label on the back of a painting; a Brasso painting. There are words in Spanish that you want to know. The Spanish words repeat the English words and the facts about the painting which you already understand. Name of the work: Pavimen[to?] (There's no such word as Pavimen in Spanish.) Author: Brasso Nationality: Spanish Date and Place of Birth: Barcelona Enjoy your new painting!
