What responsibilities did a lord have in the middle ages?

Lords...they made taxes and decided concequences. Since they often had so much work to do, they had assistants or stewards. They traveled quite a bit anf often fought alongside the king. They had a great amount of spare time and they also gave rented out land to peasants.I don't know a lot about ladies, sorry.

What was the role of a noble during the dark ages?

The noble was a man who kept the estates and manors for a king. He got these in return for his loyalty to the king. Since Europe was a patchwork of holdings this was very important for the king and the noble. The noble pledged his men to fight for the king when needed. Many nobles were also knights and in war they fought as a knight. To be a knight was very expensive. A suit of armor, in today's standards, would cost the same as a 5 bedroom house today. They also had a horse that was trained for battle and not just for riding around on. The noble's role was to serve the king, provide protection to the king, pay taxes from his estates, and to provide food to the king.

What responsibilities did lords have in the feudal system?

It was the lord's responsibility to manage and defend his land and the people who worked it. :DThe nobility had a responsibility to their king and to make sure that the money or crops from their manor/estate reached the king. They also owed the king time as a knight and were required to attend training a certain number of days each month. If there was a war they were required to fight. As individual estate owners they had the responsibility to see that the estate ran well and that any problems that arose were taken care of by them. They were to oversee the growing to the crops, harvest, and rents. To grant permission to marry to the tenants on their estates.

What is medieval system?

If you are meaning the Feudal System, it is a system that William the Conqueror invented after he became king at the battle of Hastings. It helped him solve most of his problems as king because for the things that he needed, he would give land in return for.The king gave the barons land for trust and so that he wouldn't make enemys of all the people. The barons gave the knights some of their land so that the knights would each work 40 days a year in the kings army. The knights gave the peasents some of their land so that the peasents would give the king crops and food.i hope you get it now but if this is not the answer you are looking for im sorry i don't no what the medieval system is but the feudal system is what they used in medieval times =]

Knights were not necessarily lords in medieval times. While some knights may have held land and titles that would make them lords, many knights were lower nobility or even commoners who earned their knighthood through military service. Being a knight was a prestigious title and came with certain social status and privileges, but it did not automatically confer lordship.
