The economy became better due to all of these.
The best way to describe it is that the Crusades led to the decline.

There was never capitalism in Europe in the Middle Ages. Capitalism is a modern idea and developed in the 20th century. The Middle Ages were a feudal society where only one percent of the population were in control and everyone else worked for them.
There was no explorers in the middle ages. When exploration started that is when the middle ages ended.

The decline in learning, however, did not begin during the Middle Ages, but in the Roman Empire of the 3rd century, and the recovery began about half way through the Early Middle Ages, with the Carolingian Renaissance (768-840) in the West and the Macedonian Renaissance (867-1056) in the East.
