In many of the occupied countries of Europe there were people who were only too delighted to help the Nazis. Romania (an ally of Germany from 1940-44) and the satellite state of Croatia conducted their own national holocausts, for example.

There were many ways that people helped each other during the Holocaust. Many people belonged to underground armys that would attack the Nazi's such as the Dutch Freedom Fighters or the French Underground. Other ways were by hiding friends in houses. Anne Frank lived as long as she did because of people who worked for her father. Other ways were taking children in. Many people would take Jewish children into their homes and pretend that it was their child.

Why did the Germans not challenge each other intellectually during the holocaust?

Nazi Germany was a totalitarian dictatorship. 'Challenging each other intellectually' was rarely practical. The Holocaust was the kind of topic that generally could only be whispered about furtively; it certainly wasn't a subject that could be discussed openly. Moreover, many Germans knew very little, if anything, about it. It wasn't something that was reported in the media or talked about much by politicians.

Did the dead bodies of the Jews get buried after the holocaust was over?

Most of the corpses (dead bodies) were cremated (burned) at the extermination camps during the Holocaust. Others were buried in mass graves during the Holocaust. Recent archaeological 'digs' at Belzec, for example, have uncovered eleven mass graves with the remains of at least 10,000 bodies in each grave.
