The Boston Tea Party happened in the city and the British retaliated against it. They launched the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Boston residents fought back. As an important port and shipping center, Boston would be one of the first places to get news from Europe and to deal directly with British forces than many others in the colonies. As a result, there was a hotbed of revolutionary activity in Boston.
Many wanted to join the war much earlier, but after the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, almost everyone wanted to.
The harbors were the entry points of many immigrants coming from Europe. Some came with very little money, and settled in the cities by necessity, hoping to get factory or labor jobs. In addition, many of the necessities needed by the colonists came from Europe and the Caribbean and arrived at the harbors, which made these locations desirable for merchants.

The Boston Tea Party took place in Boston Harbor. The whole event was planned by "The Sons of Liberty" which was a group in Boston made up of some of the most famous patriots in the revolution. "The Sons of Liberty" and other patriots dressed up as Native Americans and dumped all of Britain's high-taxed tea into the harbor. FUN FACTS: The captain of the ship gave the keys to the patriots as long as they cleaned up the ship afterwerds.
