The French settled in the Gulf of Mexico, near the Mississippi's mouth. They also settled in and founded Quebec. They settled near the St. Lawrence river as well. And the Great Lakes region was another place they settled at.

As far as I'm aware, The French Revolution was started by the French, not by George Washington, who was and had been the only US President at the time of the French Revolution. Unless the Americans have built a time machine.
In the Louisiana region
Many believed that the US shoul provide active military support to the French, but others advocated allowing the Europeans to settle their own problems.
In 1750 there was no "US" and most of the French were either in Canada or in the New Orleans area of the Gulf. At the time there had not been a Louisiana purchase and the area was owned by France.
