George Washington was not only the first president of USA but also its founding father. His military achievements in American Revolutionary war are legendary. His efforts resulted in establishment of United States. Without him Continental army would not have overcome British military juggernaut. His leadership played the most vital part in victory. Had it not been for Washington North America would still be a colonized territory or at least would have taken much more time to gain independence.
