He was a very wise man who wrote many famous sayings. Some are on the fortune cookies too. Confucius wrote five books which make up the Cannons of Confucianism and are accepted by all Chinese as part of their heritage. The books are: Chun Chiu (Spring and Autumn); Shu Ching (Book of History); Shih Ching (Book of Poetry); Li Chi (Book of Rites); and I Ching (Book of Changes). Confucius didn't write any books. Years later his followers put together books called the analects, which were books of his sayings and teachings. Confucius wrote five books which make up the Cannons of Confucianism and are accepted by all Chinese as part of their heritage. The books are: Chun Chiu (Spring and Autumn); Shu Ching (Book of History); Shih Ching (Book of Poetry); Li Chi (Book of Rites); and I Ching (Book of Changes). Confucius wrote many books including, The Essential Confucius and Book of Rites. Analects is a very influential book, even now.
