Henry I only had two surviving legitimate children, William and Matilda, although it is claimed he had a lot of illigitimate ones. Following Prince William's death, the crown passed to his daughter Matilda whose second husband was Geoffrey Plantagent Count of Anjou. They were the founders of the House of Platagenet.
