Answer King John of England was born in Oxford, England, on 24th December 1166. He became King of England on 6th April 1199, inheriting the throne from his older brother King Richard I, who had no children. On 29th August 1189 he married Isabel, a daughter of the Duke of Gloucester. They had no children and shortly before John became king the marriage was annulled on the grounds that Isabel was John's second cousin. On 24th August 1200 he married Isabella of Angouleme, a French noble woman who became Countess of Angouleme in the year 1202. Their children were: # Henry, born 1st October 1207. He became King Henry III of England when King John died in October 1216 and reigned until his own death on 12 November 1272. This fifty-six year reign is one of the longest in English History. # Richard, born 5th January 1209. Richard became the Earl of Cornwall, amongst other titles and was one of the wealthiest men in Europe. # Joan, born 22nd July 1210. On 21st June 1221, aged 11, she married King Alexander II of Scotland and became Queen Consort of Scotland. # Isabella, born in 1214. In July 1235 she married Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor and became a Holy Roman Empress. 5. Eleanor, born in the year 1215 was only one year old when her father died.In January 1238 she married Simon de Montfort, Earl of Leicester who engaged in a power struggle with her brother, King Henry III.

Henry IV was the father of six children. Henry V, King of England, Thomas of Lancaster, first Duke of Clarence, John of Lancaster, first Duke of Bedford, Humphrey, first Duke of Gloucester, Blanche, electress Palatine and Philippa, Queen of Denmark.

Henry I only had two surviving legitimate children, William and Matilda, although it is claimed he had a lot of illigitimate ones. Following Prince William's death, the crown passed to his daughter Matilda whose second husband was Geoffrey Plantagent Count of Anjou. They were the founders of the House of Platagenet.
